Primary Maths Challenge

Primary Maths Challenge

Created by the Mathematical Association, the Primary Maths Challenge (PMC) is a fun and exciting mathematical challenge from the United Kingdom.

The PMC encourages enthusiasm, boosts confidence in mathematics and shows the different way questions can be asked. We believe in the importance of problem solving as a means of helping pupils develop their reasoning skills.

For more information, please visit https://www.primarymathschallenge.org.uk/

The PMC is aimed at pupils in primary schools, aged 9 – 11 years old.

High-scoring pupils may be invited to the Bonus Round, which is an invite only Challenge. It will take place in February 2026.
